Why are vendors willing to give you so much money for them? What are they gonna use them for? WFT? Why is it that the poisons with helpful side effects and potions with negative side effects are worth more than ones with any downsides? Just randomly experimenting with ingredients I've accidentally created potions worth upwards of 2000 gold that no one in their right mind would ever willingly drink. Namira's Rot + Nordic Barnacle = Potion, regenerate health + DAMAGE MAGICKA (915 value!!!) Namira's Rot + Juniper Berries = Potion, regenerate health (741 value) Histcarp + Large Antlers = Poison, damage stamina regen + RESTORE STAMINA (770 value) Histcarp + Juniper Berries = Poison, damage stamina regen (664 value)
Not having to lug around 20 pounds of fragile equipment and having to actually experiment with your ingredients is much more enjoyable.īut there's one really annoying, glaring issue I've noticed: useless potions and poisons are worth way too much gold! To illustrate what I'm talking about, here's the value of several poisons and potions my character can make right now:īlue Mountain Flower + Bear Claws = Poison, damage magicka regen (1107 value)īlue Mountain Flower + Blue Butterfly Wing = Poison, damage magicka regen + fortify conjuration (1354 value)īlue Mountain Flower + Hanging Moss = Poison, damage magicka regen + FORTIFY HEALTH (1381 value!!!) I have gotten my alchemy to 80 and am so far loving the changes Bethesda has made to alchemy since oblivion.
